Week 1, Day 1

This is Haley Ralston. She is a straight young adult female human. She describes herself as eccentric and athletic, but also a bookworm, schmoozer, and angler. She loves fishing so much that her dream is to have a perfect private aquarium.

This is where Haley lives in Sunset Valley. It is a small starter home with 1 bedroom and bathroom, a small dining/living area and a kitchen, plus a large yard.

She has no recollection of her past. The only thing she knows about herself is that she is a Dribbledine Sports Academy graduate. She knows no one, including her parents or family, and has no skills or career. This is how she is starting in this new world.

It is the beginning of summer and the weather is very nice. Today, she wants to go get a job at the local Police Department.

Haley gets in her car, ready to start her life as a young adult. 

She walks toward the door, determined that a Law Enforcement career is the right path for her to take.

Haley leaves the police department a little while later as a Snitch. She is happy about having a steady job, while also feeling like a grown-up.

Haley decides to text her new boss Justine Keaton. "Hi! It's your new snitch Haley! Just wanted to say hi and that I can't wait working with you." Haley knows that it is important to have a good relationship with your boss.

Afterwards, she heads right next door to the Papyrus Memorial Library.

She walks to the nearest bookcase. She loves books! This is the place where she belongs.

She scans the selection of magnificent books. So many to choose from!

She chooses Science Vol.1: Chew the Fact. She sits down and opens the book, reading and devouring the pages full of scientific information. She really wants to learn this skill.

The hours go by...

...and by. The library begins to fill.

She finished the book and heads out, ready to get busy again with filling her brain.

While driving, she thought about her future. She thought about university. She wants to go, not knowing any information about it.

When she arrives home, she not only sees the ice cream truck, but another car parked outside her house.

At her house is a... llama?

She walks up to the front door and sees that it is the Sims University mascot! She didn't know that they'd come to her. Excitedly she takes the welcome kit from the llama, or the jock Tina Daley.

In the welcome kit are some freebies. She puts on the school t-shirt and waves the banner around. "This is so cool," she says to herself.

The kit also had an aptitude test. She decided to take it to see if she can get a scholarship. But she finds it very difficult and ends up getting a 998 out of 2400. She is definitely not eligible for anything.

Besides her terrible scores, Haley decides to still call to see if she can enroll in university. They give her a 750 simoleons of grant-based financial aid, allowing her to get only six credits for one term, but she doesn't want to go for that short amount of time for barely anything, so she declines. She wants to go for two terms for 24 credits, but that would cost 1,650 simoleons. She definitely doesn't have that kind of money.

They did say if she enrolled in university eventually they would give her money. This makes her feel better.  This gives her an excited preparing-for-university feeling.

She wants to take a fishing class, but since she literally has no money, she decides instead to head over to Aleister's Elixers and Sundries.

She enters the elixir consignment store and is captivated by what she sees.

This place is for buying and selling elixirs, which are magical potions.
 
She heads over to a nearby table with a giant book. She has heard of the mysteries and allure of this skill. Haley wanted to create her own magical elixir, maybe learning about alchemy along the way as well.

She opens the book, ready to devour the pages.

Haley stares down at the small print, trying to make sense of the supernatural. The book provides free samples of different ingredients. She acquires some red valerian root, mandrake root, wolfsbane flower, and multiple red toadstools.

Haley reads about an elixir called Vial of Bliss, a rather basic and beginner elixir. She reads that this temporarily beneficial potion will restore social and fun and stop unhappiness, and it can be created with any food ingredient.

Haley is amazed and tempted to try it out. Taking some red valerian root, she begins to follow the instructions.

Using the pot, she stirs the concoction.

And she adds the typical elixir-making ingredients.

She pours the substances into the pot.

It makes it blow up and smoke.

She stirs it all together.

Then she adds her finishing touch of the red valerian root.

She pours the shining pink bubbling potion into a vial.

She stares at it with wonder, amazed that she was so quickly able to create this mysterious liquid. Tempted by its wonder, she decided to save it for when it is needed in the future.

She closes the book, the candles on this exciting table blown out. She definitely want to one day return and improve her alchemy skill.

She leaves the store and decides to head home to end her day.

Haley arrives home and decides to make a simple autumn salad for dinner.

When cooking, the beautiful summer day ends with hail.

Haley eats her dinner with the hail hitting her roof.

Haley thinks about her new job as a low-level Snitch and her life in Sunset Valley.

Haley thinks about university, and how it would be nice to earn a degree to help her with her career, because being a Snitch doesn't make you rich at all.

Haley also thinks about her love life, and how she is at that age where sims get married and have children, starting families.

Haley heads to bed early, happy with her fulfilling first day and wanting to be ready for her first day at work. By the time she is in bed, the hail has stopped.
